Septoria brown spot on soybean typically starts on older leaves. Often in fields that are in continuous soybeans. Symptoms include brown lesions with a yellow halo. Rarely reduces yield. Can be confused with more damaging diseases like soybean rust Crop Protection Network (CPN) #Soybean #Fungi
This is a phenomenal collaboration with datascience@uw and Crop Protection Network (CPN) that give corn farmers and consultants usable, interactive tools to make hard decisions a bit easier. Check it out!
A full day of disease data, tar spot ramping up in our research plots and our future white mold biological trial location looks like it will be ready for a fall treatment w/Damon L. Smith
Catching the symptoms and signs of southern blight all at once is helpful to diagnose what caused a small patch of dead plants. Showing up roughly 10 days later generally leads to a diagnosis of charcoal rot……at that point the charcoal rot is secondary MS SOYBEAN BOARD #mscrops
Even in what was mostly a hot, dry year, the target spot symptoms at some OVT locations are impressive. Overhead irrigation can definitely play a role in disease development MS SOYBEAN BOARD #mscrops
