Endangered elephants already face so many threats caused by climate change, poaching, trophy hunting, encroachment of habitat human/elephant conflict that inviting trophy hunters to cull 83 of strongest survivors could reduce chances of survival of future generations

#POTUS It is not too late to start 30 x 30 project as you wanted when you took Office. Just give the full strength ESA listing for all wolves of US & other wildlife, it will start the project. This plus habitat protection for the land, sea & air will do it. Please, it would be

BanKillingContests Secretary Deb Haaland Yep. They're over taking the native spotted owl population. Native owl population is being pushed to their brink fighting to stay alive in their own habitat. Which keep getting smaller because of a different invasive species... people fws.gov/project/barred…

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW, @coparkswildlife) has launched an operation to capture and relocate wolves from the Copper Creek pack, including the first breeding pair and their pups from the 2023 gray wolf reintroduction.

Project Coyote (@projectcoyote) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Last Tuesday’s news release indicates that the "ultimate goal is to relocate the pack to another location." This goal conflicts with the state's wolf recovery plan, which states: "Translocation of depredating wolves to a different part of the state will not be considered."

Project Coyote (@projectcoyote) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Relocating an entire wolf pack, especially with young pups, poses significant risks to their survival and well-being. This effort could have tragic consequences for this new wolf family and undermines coexistence between ranchers and their wild neighbors.

We believe that adopting non-lethal methods is crucial for ensuring a sustainable future for both wolves and agricultural communities. Several effective non-lethal approaches were available and should have been thoroughly explored before making this short-sighted decision.

It is deeply troubling that CPW has yielded to pressure from uncooperative ranching groups instead of prioritizing these proven methods. This decision ultimately undermines the well-being of both wolves and ranchers in the long run.
