Awesome science connections for a Glen Oaks 5th grade scientist. He shares his own Ammonite fossil found at his grandparents home in Whitney, TX with his classmates as they have been learning about fossils in class. #McKinneyScience #mckgo #mymisd

We all have bad days, but a bad day does not need to turn into a bad week! Redirecting your thoughts to something you’re grateful for can help change a bad day into a fleeting bad moment in an overall good week. #edchat

Starting NSTA in Atlanta with the Keynote from NASA astronaut Megan McArthur, who served as the flight engineer on the ISS. Her mission was the last to service the Hubble Telescope, and she actually used the robotic arm to capture it while flying 17,500 mph. #NSTA23

I'm having a bit of a fan-girl moment, which isn't usually my thing. Waiting for a session to start with Paul Andersen of Bozeman Science. He provides amazing resources for student learning, especially Phenomena, and is truly passionate about science education. #NSTA23

Little by little, I've been getting the Science Lab at our newest campus, Frazier Elementary, unloaded and organized. I'm excited for the science experiences that students will get to do this year and for many years to come! #WeAreMcKinney #McKinneyScience

Last day of CAST23. Great sessions yesterday with STEM, ideas that support teachers with new TEKS. I'm wrapping up with a session by TEA about Short Constructed responses scoring for STAAR. Lots of learning and info to bring back to MISD Science teachers. #misdLearns
