TROPICAL UPDATE WEDNESDAY, 8/30: Hurricane Idalia is now a category 4 hurricane as it approaches the Big Bend. Idalia is expected to be a major hurricane at landfall with devastating storm surge and wind. It is forecast to be a category 2 hurricane as it moves into Valdosta, GA.
