It's taken me 4 months but I made it my first Bristol City Council policy meeting - Transport & Connectivity - under the Committee model of local government. Decisions were made - democratically! 1/

Bristol Green Party has the most members but didn't get everything it wanted. It felt like the public forum made an impact, whilst under the Mayoral model, decisions had already been made, in private & the public meeting was just a piece of very dull theatre. 2/

They're not exciting but they are informative and worth attending. I campaigned to scrap the Mayoral model and I'm glad I did. A few snippy PoLitical comments aside, there was a good debate. Good chairing from Ed Plowden 3/3

Proposal to Transport and Connectivity committee to do a study and plan for a workplace parking levy passed 8 to 1! I am so pleased. Well done Cllr David Wilcox bringing the motion in 2021 to full council, glad we are all still here to see it go forward on 2024 💚
