And even bigger drum rolls: The Concorde Way will also be reopening on the 28th of September! No more horrible, unsafe diversion along Muller Road for cyclists, wheelers and walkers!

Time to bring back this banger from Carla Denyer 🔥 "Angela says that Keir has changed the Labour Party, and she's right. He's changed them into the Conservatives."

If displaced civilians are not safe in a 'safe zone' like Al Mawasi, what is it for? The 4 new The Green Party MPs will do everything we can to advocate for an immediate and bilateral ceasefire, a full suspension of arms sales to Israel, the safe return of hostages, an end to the

“The Green group first introduced the idea to full council in 2021. Although that motion passed, the then Labour mayor decided not to go ahead with the project. But now, the new Green-led council is bringing it back to the table, as promised in our manifesto.”

Really pleased to see a new, beefed-up Renters' Rights Bill proposed by this government. The immediate ban on Section 21 'no fault' evictions is very welcome and will help protect over 10 million renters from risk of eviction. Longer notice periods, banning bidding wars,

Reading West of England Combined Authority report on Bus improvement options, and I am lost for words. 8 pages recommending we wait another 2 years for a report to see if it's possible to franchise buses? Franz Kafka eat your heart out!

James Crawford (@james_crbs7) 's Twitter Profile Photo

WECA has been kicking around for 7 years, franchising has been permitted for the same period. We are WAY behind on this, and it is an insult to tireless campaigners like Reclaim Our Buses (West of England) that we are still stuck on the starting line

It's taken me 4 months but I made it my first Bristol City Council policy meeting - Transport & Connectivity - under the Committee model of local government. Decisions were made - democratically! 1/

Bristol Green Party has the most members but didn't get everything it wanted. It felt like the public forum made an impact, whilst under the Mayoral model, decisions had already been made, in private & the public meeting was just a piece of very dull theatre. 2/

They're not exciting but they are informative and worth attending. I campaigned to scrap the Mayoral model and I'm glad I did. A few snippy PoLitical comments aside, there was a good debate. Good chairing from Ed Plowden 3/3

Proposal to Transport and Connectivity committee to do a study and plan for a workplace parking levy passed 8 to 1! I am so pleased. Well done Cllr David Wilcox bringing the motion in 2021 to full council, glad we are all still here to see it go forward on 2024 💚
