Parents can be overbearing, and easily can put their kid in a horrible spot. Your kid goes 0-3 with 3 Ks, it’s only going to prove the point, and get the kid in trouble. I’ve seen it happen 3 times THIS Spring HS season, on 2 different teams. Have the kid talk to Coach!

Hard disagree. Your DH is simply a better hitter than the player they are DH-ing for. Had this happen last year, and our DH hit bottom 4 in district games. Wasn’t a better hitter than anyone above, or necessarily below.

As someone who was brought around to work with pitchers and catchers, I am so proud of this young man. He’s a true SS, that’s come around as a massive help on the bump. As an assistant coach, I am beyond disappointed in the team for this loss. A no hitter goes unrewarded.

We’ve had a rough few weeks, as a team, dropping 4 straight. Managed to beat a talented Florida Christian roster, behind solid pitching. I was beginning to get worried about our bats going so cold, but man does it feel good. Finally in the right head space. On to Friday.

Call me crazy, but this is an issue at all levels. Recreational, Travel, and High School. Those same parents that will bash you for screwing up one time in a game, as a coach, when there’s 100+ pitches called and 25 plays. That same parent will pull their kid for playing time

It was a crazy 2 years coaching high school baseball. 24-18 while coaching last 2 years. 8-17 in the two prior years. We seemed to fall short back to back years, and ended 3rd place, just missing regionals. One door closes, another one opens. God bless, and thank you.

I am coaching the Seniors Little League (15-16 y/o). Why can these not use a pitch comm device, when they use them in high school now?? I get it’s LL, but these kids are in high school, and should be treated as such. If we don’t give warnings anymore, then it should be fixed.
