#Rewatched Freebie and the Bean (1974) - Alex Rocco’s “angry DA” rant is epic: “You’re not fit to guard the fish at the aquarium!” 

Shaggier than I remembered - there’s almost no plot to speak of. But man those car stunts are out of sight (as you’d expect from Richard Rush).

#NowWatching Barbie (2023) - Rather too didactic for me - I prefer not to have a film’s message underlined repeatedly in earnest speeches - but Ken’s journey was damn entertaining. Funny Gosling is best Gosling. Ken awakening to the concept of masculinity was 😘.

#NowWatching The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) - Cute. Appreciated the film leaning into the bright primary colors of the Nintendo aesthetic. Still only about 1/100th as fun as playing actual Mario Kart with my family though.
