It's been an inspiring Conference of the #G20 National Public Health Institutes in Brazil. The panel I chaired focused on #NPHIs' domestic preparedness and response plans. My thanks to @CDCglobal Dr. Laserson, Rwanda Biomedical Centre Prof. Muvunyi, & Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) Dr. Indar for robust discussion.
Today Rwanda Biomedical Centre, in collaboration with Africa CDC and other partners, launched the national guidelines for event-based surveillance (EBS) to be implemented under the #OneHealth approach. EBS is key to rapid reporting and timely response to public health threats such as #Mpox.
