Yesterday City Council unanimously passed a resolution I put forward asking the state to change to OH Code so we can set speed limits within our own jurisdiction. Next week I will offer a motion on enforcement. 👇is what we are solving for: 92% drivers on Colerain Ave speeding.

The City Manager’s Office welcomes the community to City Hall for an opportunity to engage in a facilitated, problem-solving discussion about traffic and pedestrian safety. We look forward to this much-needed dialogue!

College Hill residents - let’s all plan to show up for city budget meeting today at the College Hill Recreation Center today at 6pm. Be sure to support #CollegeHillPedestrianSafety by asking the city to add a dedicated full time Pedestrian Safety engineer.

Excited for the Climate, Environment & Infrastructure Committee to take up these motions. A Leading Pedestrian Internal is a proven tool to reduce crashes - a 3-7 second delay in signal. Other motion is ensuring there is access around construction sites - standard in other cities

A huge step for Pedestrian Safety in our city! Many many thanks to everyone who advocated for this to be added to our city budget during various Budget Engagement meetings held at Cincinnati Recreation Centers throughout the city.

A great planning meeting with College Hill folks today. They are advocating for traffic calming and safer streets for all users. Discussed protected bike lanes, curb extensions, parking protection, road diets, and more. One step closer to making this a reality.

College Hillians - name a small residential street in College Hill that might benefit from testing this type of speed reduction intervention. Sadly, traffic volumes have to be low this intervention so that means Hamilton Avenue, North Bend Road and Belmont Avenue are not eligible

Great meeting with College Hill Forum last night about traffic safety plan. Excited for firsts for the city (and maybe OH) 1. female bike symbol pavement markings 2. bus platform with bike ramps 3. centerline hardening (maybe not first) presentation: bit.ly/3CKPJjI
