The Labour government say that there is a £22 billion black hole in finances and cut the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners and also threaten a “painful” Autumn Budget…yet, they are spaffing away £11.6 billion of our tax money on overseas climate aid. Shameful.

Disturbingly reminiscent to what David Cameron & George Osborne said in 2010. Welcome to austerity 2.0 - but created by a Labour government. The only winners will be corporations who receive transfers of wealth from public misery. Same as it ever was. New government. Same shit.

The Home Office is using our tax money to pay for around 5,000 empty hotel beds as a “buffer” for asylum seekers to avoid overcrowding at a detention centre amid high numbers of Channel crossings. As stated rather awkwardly at a parliamentary Public Accounts Committee in 2023.

The Labour government cut winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners & Keir Starmer warns that the Autumn budget will be “painful” due to a £22bn black hole. Yet, he also stated that Ukraine will get £3bn a year of our tax money “for as long as it takes”. Mixed messages.
