A great talk Justine Parsons 🇦🇺 about how we are managing our units to reduce our carbon footprint. Scary numbers!! Where to start? Think recycling- baby bottles, syringes can all go to recycling (remove the rubber plunger though) #coinn2024 COINN Neonatal Nurses Association (NNA)

Interesting how culture has such an impact on breastfeeding initiation- we are risk adverse for preterm babies breastfeeding thinking they are too small- on the contrary- data shows they are more than capable of initiating breastfeeding before 32 weeks (PACED though) #coinn2024

I love a great infographic to guide success- amazing picture depicting the journey for preterm babies to establish exclusive breastfeeding at discharge. Their journey is so different at every gestation- the more preterm= the more curious and interactive! #breastisbest #coinn2024

NNA Chief Executive, Cheryl Titherly, attended the Southern Trust #PERIPrem celebration event today, meeting with Frances, NNA Scholar 2023, & the wider team working brilliantly to implement perinatal optimisation across the Trust - with fantastic outcomes 👏
