3/ The developments of the last week's is a quantum change. It's no mere "deterioration", tantamount to a collapse of the Status Quo. This will not go unnoticed. No timeline is possible, but left unchecked this ends in a holy war. W/ or w/o that war: there will be blood.

This is an important and profoundly disturbing piece of journalism for policy makers in Washington and European govts to study

Blinken and Lammy meet in London today with their Ukrainian allies in deepening trouble. Russians closing in on the key transport hub of Pokrovsk. If they take that the entire Donetz region may fall.

The first US political debates make today’s look trifling. In 1858 thousands turned out to and watched in the open air for as long as 7 hours as Lincoln and Douglas debated and the papers carried every word. Imagine Trump and Harris managing that.

Iran is supplying ballistic missiles to Russia for use vs Ukraine US Secretary of State confirmed. This is a dramatic escalation as head of CIA had warned over weekend. Response? More sanctions. Will that be enough?

Dominic Waghorn (@dominicwaghorn) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ukraine unimpressed by new sanctions announced by Britain and America after confirmation Iran now shipping ballistic missiles to Russia. 'Not enough' says Zelenskyy's chief of staff.

Key city of Pokrovsk likely to fall to Russia, and with it possibly the entire Donetz region. Iran sending ballistic missiles to Russia increasing Moscow's firepower significantly. And the best the US and UK can do is announce more economic sanctions?

Dominic Waghorn (@dominicwaghorn) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Significance of Iranian ballistic missile news is not just those missiles. They allow Russia to use much more freely their own feared hypersonic Kinzhal missiles which are long range and difficult to intercept. And still US wont take the gloves off Ukraine's long range arsenal

Dominic Waghorn (@dominicwaghorn) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ukraine war shifting again in Russia's favour. Pokrovsk in danger of falling and with it whole Donetz region and now gamechanging Iranian ballistic missiles in the mix. Against that sanctioning a few Iranians with asset freezes and travel restrictions is surely inadequate.

One year on, there’s still no unfettered access to Gaza for the international media. ‘This is shocking behaviour for a country that professes its commitment to the democratic ideals of a free press’ says the FPA

Still no explanation or justification for this from the Israeli government apart from 'it's dangerous', which is frankly our business not theirs.

Trump had one job last night. Not to lose it. He was rattled but didn't lose it. Harris had a steeper hill to climb. Polls show voters dont know enough about why the most powerful job in the world is her destiny and what she will do with it.

The Jewish Chronicle accused of being taken in by a charlatan peddling false intelligence, 'wild fabrications' and 'bullshit' multiple times. A sordid tale that needs reading and requires a response from the UK's oldest Jewish newspaper. 972mag.com/jewish-chronic…

This would seem to reinforce the idea that the problem is with US targeting data required for certain sorts of Storm Shadow strikes. “A British defence source said that the UK did not need the support of other countries in Nato to go ahead.” thetimes.com/world/russia-u…
