The tragic upshot is that elections continue to be ritualistic. What is clear is that there now exists a huge contestation regarding the utility of elections in Zimbabwe.

This is wrong, we expect idiologically grounded cdes to understand that rural areas are important, even more important than urban areas. Our natural resources are based in rural and not urban areas. This idea of looking at rural areas as backward is neaseating.
