Our society made its very first trip yesterday: at the European Parliament, we attended the conference “Xi Jinping’s #China: What should we expect?”, organised by MEP Reinhard Bütikofer. High-profile speakers and some very interesting views on the future of EU-China relations! 🇪🇺🇨🇳
The EU-Asia Society will hold its first event tomorrow! Our guest Sarabjeet Hayer, International Development Officer in EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺, will discuss the EU’s trade and development agenda with #India, including policy tools, civil society operations, and prospects 🇪🇺🇮🇳
It was a great pleasure to welcome Sarabjeet Hayer at the College of Europe yesterday! He shared with us his experience in EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺 and his insights on the future of EU-#India cooperation 🇪🇺🇮🇳 Thanks to everyone who attended and stay tuned for details on our next event!
How will Xi Jinping’s reinforced power affect #EU-#China relations? 🇪🇺🇨🇳 To discuss this, we have organised our first panel discussion: Werner Scholz (European External Action Service - EEAS 🇪🇺) and Grzegorz (Greg) Stec (MERICS) will share their views on the implications for the EU of the #CCP’s 20th National Congress
With a crucial year of elections in the EU, US, and Taiwan approaching, how should the #EU address the growing issue of stability in the #Taiwan Strait? 🇪🇺🇹🇼 To discuss this, we are very pleased to welcome to the College of Europe Mr Chen, the #Taipei Representative to the EU!
Amb. Chen talked about peace, prosperity and Taiwan-EU ties in a speech at the College of Europe's EU-Asia Society • College of Europe! During his speech, the Amb. encouraged deeper TW-EU cooperation, stressed the importance of unity among democracies, and urged the students to engage with Taiwan.
On Thursday, we were honoured to welcome to the College of Europe Mr Remus Li-Kuo Chen, the #Taipei Representative to the EU, for a speech followed by a lively Q&A session. Mr Chen stressed the importance of #EU-#Taiwan relations, grounded in common values and interests 🇪🇺🇹🇼
