Challenges of setting up and operating #maritime CERT/CSIRT are on the agenda at #EUCNSS24. We’re sharing best practices and experiences to strengthen our incident response capabilities in the maritime sector.

We now are diving into setting up a sectoral #maritime CERT. Groups are working together to tackle key areas like constituency, roles & responsibilities, infrastructure, and apps for maritime-specific cyber threats. #EUCNSS24

Now we gathered to hear more about managing internal threats. (Un)intentional actions like being careless or by accident can be mitigated by hardening the digital environment and raising awareness. Staying vigilant, both inside and outside is crucial. #EUCNSS24

A group work to round up the 2nd day of #EUCNSS24! Participants act again as port #cybersecurity team and need to tackle complex issues such as drug trafficking or corruption. Awareness of challenges is a stepping stone to plan protection from internal and external threats.

Day 2 at #EUCNSS24 covered national cyber environments, governance in critical infrastructure, and practical exercises to understand different threat vectors in #maritime security. A day full of insights and learning & ready for the final day! Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança

Day 3 of #EUCNSS24 – time to put learnings into practice! Final exercises dealing with a major cyberattack to a port: using gained knowledge to divide resources, understand scope of attack, assess risks and threat vectors, and come up with response to the attack. Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança

Before moving on to the simulation exercise at #EUCNSS24, we are discussing #cybersecurity strategies for #maritime sector with Daniel Ioniţă and focus on safeguarding maritime operations and critical infrastructures against evolving cyber threats.

Our final day at #EUCNSS24 features a comprehensive #maritime #cybersecurity exercise. Participants are applying everything they've learned to protect critical maritime infrastructures in a simulated environment. Hands-on experience is key!
