Wore this 1977 relic for the Cov City v Man Utd #FACup semi-final. Sky Blues robbed by farcical VAR decision. Hope Gary Lineker calls it out tonight on MOTD Well done Coventry City and Sky Blue Army. Love the FA Cup - so much more classy and romantic than Premier League.

Today Putin&Co celebrate victory in WW2. Things that won't be said: the Soviet-German Pact empowered Hitler to invade Poland, starting the War; USSR was therefore jointly responsible for every death that followed; Stalin was a coward who only fought when Hitler attacked USSR.

Today, "Victory Day" in Russia. I challenge that with International Counterfactual Day. What happens in 1939 in Europe if USSR and Germany don't sign a non-aggression Pact? No invasion of Poland, no outbreak of WW2, no Holocaust? Stay home Russians - nothing to celebrate.

May 9th. Victory Day. What IS worth celebrating is the courage of millions of individual Russians, and allies who fought with them like my Great Uncle who sailed on Arctic Convoys. But Russia's leadership in 1939 was as cynical as today's , and (as today) bears the guilt of war

Not counting a scary night at the station on Interrail in '83, I visit Naples for the first time tomorrow. One off my bucket list. Any tips? Official SSC Napoli

80 years ago today, the first Allied troops were arriving by glider, parachute and landing craft on the beaches and in the fields of occupied France. Today we remember their courage and the lives lost so that Europe might be free from tyranny. #DDay80 #LestWeForget

Great weekend at Stubenbergsee, Steiermark, Austria. Nothing beats open water swimming, especially with a cold beer at the end of it.

When he was a coal miner Ray Reardon came close to death in a rockfall. He went on to be a six-time world snooker champion & part of my TV childhood as a regular on the BBC’s Pot Black. Here’s my musical tribute to a sporting legend who has died aged 91. BBC Sport #RayReardon

There's something incongruous about the musical accompaniment to this fountain show in #Budapest. I doubt it's what #steppenwolf had in mind. Brilliant, nevertheless.

images.app.goo.gl/ZMhZPbK9ZXLoiY… Current UK violence echoes historic pogroms, such as Chisinau 1903. Fake news gives an unjustified racist spin to a shocking crime. Uneducated, racist yobs respond. Cynical "politicians" fuel flames. And look where those pogroms led us. Rory Stewart

Lovely day for the Leamington Spa Parkrun - my first PR outing in 5 years. Great course. One challenging hill, and a long stretch into rural Warwickshire alarmingly named "Badger attack back passage". Thanks to the organisers! parkrun UK

I've loved all my travels but there are many compensations for coming home: family, friends, places, and breakfast with old mates like these. As Hugh C said at The Stranglers gig at Brum Odeon, 1983 "you spend your life going away, but in the end you come home".
