I have reviewed the words of "The Star Spangled Banner" and the story behind those words to my grandchildren...and before them, my children. Without understanding the circumstances, anthem is just gobbledegook.

yes, my dad was smart, just didn't want to go to school. His parents signed, were deaf and could not control him. When my dad was retired from the military he went to University of Tampa and finally got a degree... industrial arts? I think.

A great deal of research and hard work has gone on when Brits have been located and identified after such a long time. We honor the service of these two men and are glad they have finally been brought home. #WWII

New Jersey. Maybe in the late 1940s. We bellowed out "First to see the street light." The street was ours for the taking. Big game was Kick the can. Also pick up sticks and marbles. Those days will never return. Yes, it was awesome.

Hopefully we will get to the 392nd Bomb Group soon. Toward the bottom half of 1943 8th Air Force arrivals to England. #WWII
