We got a busy old wasps nest going on, all doing vital ecology as predators and pollinators. I don't bother them and they don't bother me. #lovingtheunloved #socialwasps #ecosystemservices

My two soft released stoats still come back for chicken after 25 days wild. But I rarely see them. #lovemustelids #lovemammals

1. Gushing Thanks: A 🧵. The awful riots that shook the nation last week have brought out the very best of us. I’ve a few “thank yous” to dish out. Firstly, to our horses. I choose to be a copper, they don’t and so I’m morally obliged to ensure they have the best life possible.

The first rule of #batclub is to get them self feeding ✔️ Beautiful male Brandts bat, tried to fly in daytime but fell in a pond. His situation has now improved though he isn't grateful yet. 🥰🥰 #lovebats #batcare

Call from lady "terrified" by bat flying in bedroom last night. She didn't know where it was now. Went round there and found it within seconds, hiding in the curtain liner. He's gorgeous and my bat lady reputation is secure. #lovebats #batcare

Taken in a Brandts bat, weak juv female, been hanging on porch wall for two days. Very highly strung species. Made her a little cave so she might feel safer. Will I be able to turn her around? #lovebats #batcare 🤞🏻🦇

Found on ground, soaking wet after heavy rain ☔. This is him, literally 90 seconds after arriving. 🥰🦇 Some bats really embrace their second chance. #lovebats #batcare

Two out and two in on the #bat escalator today. These two little girls arrived together having been found indoors. Rehydrated and fed, we keep our fingers crossed we've done enough for them. 🤞🏻🦇 #lovebats #batcare

Long-eared bats are independent and stubborn. Except this guy. This guy is too tired to fight me. Should be in woodland but was, in fact, in the town centre. He's young, he still has a lot to learn. Those ears though 🥰 #lovebats #batcare

This poor bat has been a cats plaything during the night. Both wings ripped by claws as it was brought down. Cat only has to be lucky one time. Bat has to be lucky every night of his life. #lovebats #batcare #keepyourcatinatnight
