'UC wants you to think that you cannot possibly win. That is why they have filed their requests for injunction and now a TRO; not because they sincerely believe their legal arguments but because they want to zap your fighting spirit and break your political will.'

Solidarity w/ striking workers at the UC system!✊️

'From West Virginia to Newton to the University of Michigan, education workers in the U.S. have shown that we can strike in violation of the law and win.'

Fuck the TRO. Striking is a human right!

Thank you UMich comrades for modeling the courage and clarity we most need right now ❤️‍🔥✊

“They want you to think… the costs of standing up for yourselves and the Palestinian cause are simply too high, and that real power lies in the hands of lawyers and judges, instead of your own. Only you can determine what is actually true…”

Towards liberation, comrades🔥✊🏽🔥✊🏽

So sad to write this about the University of Michigan slashing sections and raising class sizes in order to discipline their workforce. If they cared about education, they wouldn't be doing this shit. If they only cared about money and power tho . . .

The GSI tuition waiver program was literally the reason why I chose Michigan over other law schools. It completely changed my financial situation and made it possible for me to take a public interest job.

'Most importantly, everyone impacted by these cuts — students, GSIs and lecturers alike — must stand together when the University tries to pit us against each other. Teaching conditions are learning conditions.'

This is wildly inappropriate behavior coming from Regent Jordan Acker. As a public official, you should spend less time publicly undermining UM students online and more time taking their demands seriously.

Pathetic that our regents waste an inordinate amount of time tweeting at their students yet can never bother to actually meet with us and have a good-faith discussion of divestment of $6B+ of our endowment from one of the worst genocides in recent history.

Acker is a major part of the escalatory and dangerous behavior by Regents: target and harass pro-Palestinian protestors for months, arrest and brutally disperse peaceful demonstrations, and hospitalized at least 2 students during a brutal police raid on the encampment with DPSS.

DPSS seized our bikes when they raided the encampment — including individuals’ bikes and collective bikes.

Call UM Police Dept today and demand DPSS release all 20 encampment bikes to Dave Zeglen: (734) 763-1131

Let's free our bikes!

UMich staff condemn police violence: 'police caused bodily injury, incited fear, interfered with the work of staff, and caused us to feel unsafe in our own workplaces. That absence of safety was due not to the encampment but the violence of the police.' t.ly/ty6Sv

Once again U-M DPSS Khakis were out in force today trying to tell UMich Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine that they were not allowed to have chairs on the Diag. When asked to show the policy that forbids chairs, cops could not.

The Battle of the Diag continues in other forms.

In President Santa J. Ono's email addressing the encampment raid he states, '...Ensuring that the campus is safe – for students, faculty, employees, university visitors, and protestors – is a paramount concern'. Allowing police to brutalize students in the encampment shows the opposite..

We absolutely condemn President Santa J. Ono and the U-M Regents for unleashing the police on their students in Tuesday morning's violent raid of the Gaza Solidarity Encampment. We stand with the protestors who were arrested. Drop the charges! Divest now!
