The GSI tuition waiver program was literally the reason why I chose Michigan over other law schools. It completely changed my financial situation and made it possible for me to take a public interest job.

This is wildly inappropriate behavior coming from Regent Jordan Acker. As a public official, you should spend less time publicly undermining UM students online and more time taking their demands seriously.

Pathetic that our regents waste an inordinate amount of time tweeting at their students yet can never bother to actually meet with us and have a good-faith discussion of divestment of $6B+ of our endowment from one of the worst genocides in recent history.

Acker is a major part of the escalatory and dangerous behavior by Regents: target and harass pro-Palestinian protestors for months, arrest and brutally disperse peaceful demonstrations, and hospitalized at least 2 students during a brutal police raid on the encampment with DPSS.

Once again U-M DPSS Khakis were out in force today trying to tell UMich Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine that they were not allowed to have chairs on the Diag. When asked to show the policy that forbids chairs, cops could not.
