Amazing work from the ESLint team on v9.

Also from Anthony Fu (and Damian Gล‚owala, Ricardo Gobbo de Souza and others!)

๐Ÿ‘‰ An offer: if youโ€™re using the Nuxt eslint config and you have an OSS repository, reply and Iโ€™ll open a PR migrating you to the latest Nuxt (flat) config.

Just a reminder: ESLint uses semantic versioning, so a major release means there are breaking changes. That necessarily means not everything will โ€œjust workโ€ when you upgrade to v9.0.0. This is normal and expected. You may need to upgrade plugins as well.

๐ŸŽ‰ I am so happy to share with you that `eslint-flat-config-viewer` is now the official ESlint Config Inspector! ๐Ÿš€

Huge thanks to Nicholas C. Zakas and the ESLint team for offering the chance and being very supportive! ๐Ÿ’œ

Give it a try and I hope you will find it helpful! ๐Ÿ˜†

<Speaking to Companies> Companies, support open source maintainers. ESLint is a staple of the ecosystem. Heck, itโ€™s probably a tax write-off or helps with your 1:1:1 model. </>

One used to be a good view framework, the other two often require ignore-next-line statements because JavaScript

In all seriousness, the real answer is the first two started at and have real corporate backing, while eslint is the better of the three and has no corporate daddy

The top three most depended on npm packages are:

1. TypeScript
2. React
3. ESLint

One of these things is not like the other. Can you spot the difference?

I'm writing some JS without TS (for a good reason, but not for production stuff) and my gosh I forgot how essential a tool ESLint is when you do this ๐Ÿ˜†
