Let’s not give the shooter the fame he morbidly seeks

Thank you Senator Lee for introducing this GOA-backed legislation condemning the media for its role in sensationalizing mass-murder and giving these killers the infamy and coverage they desire.

🚨BREAKING🚨 On-site law enforcement confirms a School Resource Officer (SRO) engaged and stopped today's murderer. A good guy with a gun will always be what stops a bad guy with a gun.

We are thankful a SRO was present in the school & engaged the murderer. However, when seconds matter, law enforcement will always be minutes away. Armed teachers & staff on campus could have responded even faster, potentially reducing the number of casualties & injuries.

If Kamala Harris had her way in 2019, there would have been no one on campus to protect these kids.   Making schools and students soft targets doesn't protect anyone.   Arm. Willing. Teachers.

Which changed absolutely nothing about the legality of 14 year olds stealing firearms and bringing them into federal gun free zones and murdering their teachers and classmates. So what?

Apalachee High School is in Barrow County. The Barrow County School System PROHIBITS armed teachers.  AHS School Resource Officers are subject to severe gun regulations and teachers are banned from practicing self-defense. GUN. CONTROL. DOES. NOT. WORK.

The media contagion effect is real. That's why the media must voluntarily adopt responsible reporting practices for mass public murders NOW—just as they have with hostages, suicide, classified information, streakers, and other live event interruptions.

The answer now, and always, will be no. Gun control doesn't work.
