The good old tale of the benevolent West German paying the Soli but forgetting that all East Germans paid it as well and instead only complain. How does this still get printed? (apart from being the perfect setup for my classes 😎)

West German arrogance and classism towards the East, the persistent economic disadvantages, mis- and disinformation, and so on and so forth aside, we still haven’t reckoned with the fact that denazification in Germany simply did not work.

So apparently the new Govan bridge was only open for photo ops yesterday but not in the evening which is a shame cause the light was amazing! Anyway, the new housing looks incredible and the square has nice details (but obviously not enough trees).

Glasgow demolished over 100,000 of its traditional tenements between 1960 and 1990. Around 70,000 are left. We should build many more of them, with sandstone façades and bay windows.

1/11 nzz.ch/meinung/hoecke…
