The Stormont Executive has been a continuous block against people's rights and too often followed the Conservative’s zealous line. It seems to have done it again in regards to health care and services for the Trans community. It's time to stand up and call this out.

The Health Minister is attacking trans people to distract from the crisis in the health service. Puberty blockers are safe and in use around the world. The Stormont Executive knows this - but they are lashing out at an oppressed minority to distract from their own failures.

The only difference I can see between Labour and The Tories when it comes to trans people is The Tories never pretended to care about us.

Did Mike Nesbitt sacrifice trans kids to aid his UUP leadership bid? Did Keir Starmer have words with the First Minister to make her abandon Sinn Fein's pledge to protect puberty blockers for trans kids? Many questions that will be answered sooner or later.

I'd personally be a bit embarrassed to be putting out this line when you've signed up to a ban on medical support for young people who need trans healthcare. But that's just me.

This is not how you achieve the ‘best medical support’ Experts worldwide, including across Ireland the UK have rejected the Cass report for its evident bias and lack of quality. Sinn Féin needs to quickly engage with LGBTQI+ communities & orgs or risk support north & south
