This morning, we proudly joined Mayor Tishaura O. Jones as she honored @jamaabirthvillage with a proclamation to celebrate the expansion of their center and support the importance of their work for Black mothers in our community.
It is #BlackMaternalHealthWeek. With Black women still 3-4x more likely to die at childbirth, I could think of no better way to celebrate than by honoring the work of @jamaabirthvillage who fight for Black women and provide Doula and Midwife services to our community. We fight with you
