Predicting the next pandemic remains an inexact science. Who would have predicted widespread infection of H5N1 in dairy cattle with the risk of viral adaptation to humans. Good news is that DIOSvax weโ€™ve developed new technology to make vaccines to prevent the next pandemic.

Published this paper on H5N1 โ€œBird Fluโ€ in 2006. 18 years later itโ€™s a modern Plague of the animal kingdom, seemingly entrenching itself now in food producing dairy cattle. Itโ€™s time to do something to prevent it before weโ€™re faced with a more serious scenario.

.nature article shows dual binding of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus from a dairy cow in the U.S. to both avian- and human-type receptors. This is consistent with the finding of both receptors in cow udders, & raises pandemic risk another notch. nature.com/articles/s4158โ€ฆ
