The 6th graders used petri dishes with agar to grow bacteria. They were divided in to groups and asked to swab a phone, computer keyboard, a mouth, fingernails, water fountain, and the front door. Stay tuned to see which had the most germs!

We had a visitor today. Paisley brought her rabbit, Sugar, to meet her classmates. He is a very sweet little rabbit. Everyone loved him! #elevate38

The second graders have been making observations on their plant that is growing in the maze. We were correct in our hypothesis. Plants will grow around things in order to reach the sun. #Elevate38

The second grade class adopted a dairy calf for this school year. We named her Fudge. We will post pictures throughout the year of her growth. #Elevate38

Congratulations to the Joppa FFA on a strong showing in Horse Judging at DuQuoin on Friday. Jaelyn placed in the top 25 out of 220 individuals and the team finished 31st overall. #Elevate38
