But it’s been cold this Summer - global warming my bottom! Great bit of #dataviz by Neil Kaye All the blue years were colder than this Summer. This Summer would have been the warmest of the decade in the 1960s. Changing perception of what’s normal.

Every year, our 3,000 brilliant staff look after around 60,000 people from across Greater Manchester and beyond. We asked some of those people to be in a new video about our hospital and the treatment and care we deliver. Here's what they had to say. 👇

Welsh Government is recruiting to the key role of Chief Medical Officer. Fantastic opportunity in devolved government to shape public health! Do share and RT. Details at cais.tal.net/vx/lang-en-GB/…

This is shoddy, silly journalism by BBC Midlands. Story looks planted by the so-called Taxpayers Alliance whose "research" is quoted. Birmingham City Council holds these art/museum assets in trust, most were donated. It cannot and should not flog them off.

Listening to the excellent Gary Richardson on #r4today interviewing Kevin Keegan. It’s his last day after 50 years with the BBC. 👏👏👏

After just 43 years on BBC Radio 4 Today and 50 at the BBC, it’s the last morning in the studio for sports presenting legend Garry Richardson. We’ll miss you.

Taking the first steps to reform outdated compulsory purchase compensation rules that inflate the cost of land to the benefit of speculators. I’m proud to have brought into force regulations that will allow for the removal of ‘hope value’ where justified in the public interest.

So the inspection on which this report is based took place almost 12 months ago - in Sept and Nov 2023 - and it was not published until August 2024. A clear illustration of the problems at CQC and the need for major reform.

CQC just published its inspection report for Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS FT, almost 12 months after the inspection. But look at the ratings grid in the report. Most of it is based on previous inspection in 2019 - five years ago! Report at api.cqc.org.uk/public/v1/repo…
