As known, Great tits are quite bizarre with their nest sites. Today I casually found this one in a vertical hole on a flat stone in the middle of a meadow. I nearly sat on the hole when trying to have a short break during monitorings for #DOPPS 🤪

Via "Progetto Lince Italia": wild Eurasian Beavers, which first colonised one of the tiny pieces of 🇮🇹 Danubian catchment from 🇦🇹 in 2018, have now bred. It's been a long haul. Congratulations to naturalist Renato Pontarini who found the first animal & has followed them since.
