🎉 Congratulations F. Max Yavitt, Bruce Kirkpatrick, Michael Blatchley and collaborators for our latest in Science Advances! Max + coauthors used a photoadaptable hydrogel to manipulate intestinal organoid shape —> altered membrane properties and templated differentiation. science.org/doi/full/10.11…
.F. Max Yavitt’s second article of 2023 is out in Science Robotics — a fantastic collaboration with Ning Wang, involving one of our photodegradable hydrogel chemistries. Congratulations to Max and all involved!
Chloé Roffay .F. Max Yavitt and I showed that localized increases in tension visualized with FlipperTR mirror patterns of membrane depolarization (which template YAP expression/symmetry breaking) in photopatterned intestinal organoids! 😎🤓 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
It has been a couple of months but I am happy to announce that I finished my PhD in Anseth Group last summer and have started a postdoc with Tim Woodfield University of Otago. I'm excited to be in Aotearoa New Zealand and I'm looking forward to this new chapter of science!
Had a great time presenting at the MedTech Innovation in Christchurch event yesterday. It's amazing to see such a vibrant community come together to celebrate local achievements in #medtech. Congrats to Laura Veenendaal on her 3rd place presentation! Tim Woodfield MedTech NZ
Witnessed Anseth Group alum, friend and amazing scientist F. Max Yavitt on both sides of the stage 12th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC 2024)! Max co-chaired the Hydrogel 2 session and also gave a talk on some of the interesting ongoing work in his postdoc lab Tim Woodfield
Please stop by BurdickLab Poster 088 today at #wbc2024 to see some cool, unpublished work relating to our granular composites! We make them bend now!
The CReaTE Group had a lot of fun in Auckland for HealthTech Week #HTW24. It was great to share our work and learn more about what is happening in the NZ #medtech community. Congrats to CReaTE PhD student Theresa on her second place presentation! Axel Norberg Tim Woodfield
