A busy roving surgery today in Dennistoun with my Glasgow Labour Group colleague Elaine McDougall. There are lots of issues with tenement factoring and common property maintenance. We will be working with Under One Roof Scotland and local housing associations to improve things.
Thanks to the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for a very interesting visit. I was thoroughly impressed by their world-class facilities, including the newly upgraded recording studio. We discussed the vital role of culture funding and how the creative sector can be a powerful driver of economic growth.
Congratulations, Raza Sadiq and team celebrating 25 years of Active Life Club Active Life Club's 25th Anniversary Celebration 🎉
I attended an event in Parliament hosted by Chivas Brothers News Room to hear about its work. Last year, it contributed £2.2bn to the economy through iconic brands such as Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet and Beefeater which are exported to over 160 markets.
My next surgery is on Saturday at 10am. Please email for an appointment. [email protected]
Totally agree with Michael Marra MSP. ScotWind funds were meant to support the energy transition. Another disgraceful consequence of the SNP's reckless management of Scotlands public finances.
Yesterday, I opened #ScottishQuestions by emphasising the vital role of our world-class universities in shaping the Government's new industrial strategy. Great to hear Ian Murray MP's commitment to strengthening higher education partnerships as we create the jobs of the future.
A reminder of our Linn ward councillors, Cate Vallis and Cllr Johnny Carson, pushing for better train times at Cathcart Train Station, back in November 2023, after listening to the community councils’ concerns. 🌹
Good to be back at Gartcraig Community Council last night after summer break. It’s AGM next month so if you are local & want to get involved please save the date & head along on Wed 2nd Oct @ 7pm
