People detained for mental health treatment already have very few rights and little say over what happens to them. This would have made things even worse. 5/6

The judge agreed with us that people with mental health problems need to be in the same room as the doctors making these decisions.

This gives them the best chance of getting across what they need for their own care, with someone else supporting them to make their case. 4/6
