This week we learned all about garbage, recycling, and compost! Our STEM activity for Fun Friday was making a Compost Jar together in class. Each one of our students got to add something to the jar and finished off by passing it around and mixing it all together.

We had so much fun Kingston Danceforce yesterday! Thank you for a wonderful field trip! 🍁

Following “A little Spot of Team work”story this week, our students worked together in groups to achieve their shared goals, communicate, listen and lead together!

Last Weeks STEM activity! Our students learned about how rain comes from tiny water droplets in the clouds and were then able to create their own rain in a in a cup! This activity was so much fun and our Maple Minis had a “splash” of a time with this experience!

Today our Maple Minis had the opportunity to enjoy and engage in an amazing Puppet show! Thank you so much Kingston Frontenac Public Library to the amazing story tellers for this wonderful experience, our students had a blast!

Flip It Friday was a HUGE success! Thank you A for teaching us all about butterflies 🦋 and J for teaching us all about volcanoes. He was able to show us a chemical reaction and watch the volcano erupt. 🌋 So much fun!

Tues. Sept. 3 is a PA Day for LDSB staff focusing on: Health and safety; supporting a positive school climate; and achievement of learning outcomes in core academic skills. On PA Days, there are no classes for students. The first day of school for LDSB students is Weds. Sept. 4.
