25 years ago today, 69 Love Songs was released. We played a record release show in NYC at the old @knittingfactorynyc a couple of days later. Our friend, Gail O’Hara (chickfactor 🌲) took these pictures from the event. Claudia still has the one of her & Sam framed on her wall.
I started Carrie Rickey’s book before I left for Venice, but had to leave it behind. Now I’m back and tearing through it. WOW! This is how you do a biography of a complicated, elusive, and (of course) delightful figure. I don’t want it to end.
I’m deeply excited to have brought the marvelous Adam Dalva to The Yale Review — we are looking forward to your fiction! Submissions open now. 🎉🎉🎉
