As the govt. try to finish England's devo map and deliver more joined-up government, they will need to resolve England's geographic messiness. A 🧵🧵🧵of map GIFs 🖇️ instituteforgovernment.org.uk/publication/de… Michael Kenny

Good example of football clubs as local anchors, taking a lead in addressing health and health inequalities. Seen a growing number of such approaches across England over the past 12 months which need the support of ICSs and the NHS.

Would recommend a stroll round Royal Docks when visiting new City Hall. Fascinating (huge) place and Millennium Mills looks 👌. Looking forward to the regen 🏗️ plans and seeing how health is playing its part.

Subjected my creaking limbs to beach volleyball tonight. For the middle aged dads, Ugly Kid Joe were playing at Concorde next door. Over 30 years since Cats in the Cradle was released 😱

Lovely dinner in Parliament tonight talking Health on the High Street. Striking how important the high street was to many recent local elections and how interested new MPs are in the role of health. Thank to CMS UK for the invite and to Paulette Hamilton MP for chairing NHS Confederation
