Today, we celebrated 60 years of #CommunityAction to #endpoverty in NYC. Commissioner @MCastromoia moderated @NYCYouths panel “Supporting Immigrant Families" with community & city partners. We discussed the successes & challenges of supporting NYC's diverse immigrant communities.

On Wed, Commissioner Commissioner Manuel Castro celebrated #PakistaniNewYorkers across generations & NYC. Together with Mayor Eric Adams, NYC International Affairs, Mayor’s Community Affairs Unit, NYC OATH & community leaders, we raised the Pakistani Flag in honor of 🇵🇰❤️Pakistani heritage & values of social justice, peace & liberty.

Our team enjoyed joining two more back-to-school resource fairs organized by @UnivisionNY for #Bronx and #Brooklyn's Latinx families this week. To best support families and children for the 2024-25 school year, we shared info about FREE city educational resources & IDNYC.

MOIA participated in NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health ‘s Sydenham Resource and Back to School event and also Chhaya CDC's Housing Resource Fair in Jackson Heights to provide New Yorkers with information on NYC resources and services.

MOIA assisted immigrants in Chinatown, Manhattan, and the Bronx last week with their IDNYC applications and other vital city resources and services to support immigrant New Yorkers. Thanks to CENC & Lincoln Center Hospital for hosting us.

To help prepare NYC families & students for the upcoming school year our team travels across NYC to inform immigrant communities about city services. We were in #CypressHill this weekend with NYC Housing, EmblemHealth, MetroPlusHealth & other community leaders.

Last week Commissioner @McastroMOIA joined NYS New Americans & USCIS to 🎉celebrate the opening of Consulado General de México en Nueva York's SALE legal assistance program. This center spreads awareness of the Biden admin's new immigration policies & warns #MexicanNewYorkers of immigration services fraud.

We are proud of our collaboration with faith-based partners such as Chinese Christian Herald Crusades (CCHC) to help our team #getstuffdone. This week at CCHC, @nycchr, @KCSNYC, & @metroplushealth joined. We met with over 120 #Flushing locals to start their IDNYC apps & renewals.
