That’s kind of you. Fusion could be one of the most transformative innovations in 21st Century. UK has a head and could reap exponential rewards. Fusion innovation is also sparking breakthroughs in super magnets, material science etc. We need to nurture this sector.

I have been monitoring a hillside in Wales over 40 years. It is rewilding, but slowly slowly. IMO Best to speed progress by random dispersed planting, don’t just leave it to nature.

Which ever sector you look at, Corporate interest have wiggled their way into governments and international bodies, to the detriment of our shared Climate.

A trial ride round Coventrys controversial ring Road. This could be made hugely more safe if the limit was 30 - strictly enforced. coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-…

Rev Giles Goddard, who helped lead CofE drive toward Net Zero, warns some old churches are uneconomical to insulate. They should offer worshippers a blanket instead, or install under-pew heating to keep people’s legs and feet warm. See my LinkedIn

Interestingly, when asked his views on Labour handing power over 20mph to local councils, Edmund was largely supportive. He said we need to Walk And Cycle more. So much for culture wars. @possible

Last year my research for the foundation for integrated transport found that #lowtraffic neighbourhoods were generally popular among residents. Rows settled in a year or two. Councils need balls. I see my former colleague Andrew Gilligan concludes the same. …ea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

The #netzero drive is already creating lots of innovation. But small Nuclear actors and fusion are technologies of the future, whereas we need action right now. We should find ways of storing heat as well as electricity. theguardian.com/environment/20… And increase #efficiency

Roger Harrabin (@rharrabin) 's Twitter Profile Photo

#Fusion has indeed not been given much attention from serious energy professionals – not because they are Anti-nuclear but because this technology is decades ahead, if it happens at all. We need urgent admissions cuts right now.

Cutting my London hedge used to leave me with choking throat and stinging eyes from the pollution particles trapped in it. Thanks to #ULEZ it’s fine now. I needed to wipe the washing line before pegging out. I don’t need to now. #War on drivers??? Nonsense.

Chilly churches told to use blankets and heated pews, not costly radiators. Heat the people not the space is the new mantra. thetimes.com/article/1b77e5…

My sympathy to the Ice victims. Filming on the Ganges Glacier years ago I was told to stick strictly to the path. I put my bag down next to the path, and it was almost devoured by a hidden crevasse. Dangerous places, especially in a heating climate. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

David - You might exclude the daily mail on the same basis. If Downing Street doesn’t call on GB news it will give fuel to those people on the right who voted Brexit and who feel disenfranchised anyway. Hard to change this situation, given current media ownership.

.@Heatmap has a good piece on tiny #nuclear plants. Sorry I can’t link. Two problems: 1- we need solutions now, not in 10 years. 2 - can you imagine the security needed for any plant with the name Nuclear on it? Imagine how local residents will react. Greenpeace UK

.Rory Stewart’s book ‘Politics on the Edge’ illuminates UK dirty diesel scandal. He says Cameron told him to drop clean air campaign cos the CEO of a car maker had warned him tens of thousands of jobs would go if government pushed ahead with car standards. See my LinkedIn
