A company that "gets" its customers: Cloudflare offers functionality to block AI crawlers, which give zero value to any site (in fact, take away value: the more they crawl, the less traffic the site will later get!) They also consume resources (bandwidth, CPU, etc.) Great move:

It's not that we lack the technology for it. It's that it's just more profitable to do something worse but cheaper, in higher volume. The exact same phenomenon will play out with AI.

yesterday my cloudflare kv calls p99 went from 50ms to 15ms I didn't do anything, just underlying infra getting better 🤯

The widely-used wordfreq database of English word frequencies will no longer be updated.

So excited to make this available to everyone. Every Workers KV call, every Cloudflare Access login, every single website hosted on Cloudflare Pages just got waaaaaaaay faster.

Cloudflare is out here shipping incredible perf gains. When you're in 2-digit millis, cutting even a few more is exponentially harder work. There's just not much more to cut from!
