17 years ago I started as a mature student Mary Immaculate College (MIC). Not for one minute did I think that all these years later, I’d hold a PhD, be working in 3rd level & have appeared on a BBC documentary. It just goes to show! Good luck to all incoming 1st years, especially mature students.

Our 6 year old keeps correcting my pronunciation of scone. He will not listen to reason, that scone rhymes with gone. He is a total scone = cone head. The isolation of being from deep red scone territory living in a deep greeny blue land. 😪
