The look of a defeated man that has realized capping NIL, and calling for a separate G5 playoff was stupid. The End is Nigh for Tulane and Memphis in the AAC

ACC presidents have reviewed an altered revenue structure that would resolve the disputes with FSU & Clemson and keep them in the league, sources tell Yahoo Sports. Nothing is imminent and it is unclear if there is enough support to approve the proposal. bit.ly/4e8MZxS

Memphis needs to make the leap to the PAC. It’s a no brainer. There was never anything even close to a guarantee that the ACC will come calling.

AAC Commissioner Tim Pernetti had one one goal in mind today: appeasing Memphis to keep them in the league in the short term. I’m told that Memphis “scoffed at”several of Pernetti’s comments that he made both privately and publicly. More here ⬇️ discord.gg/cSC9dRsC

This is noteworthy. I’ve been hearing about the possibility of Clemson & FSU staying in the ACC (with an adjusted revenue model) in recent days as well

Additionally, I’m told that Pernetti is under the assumption that Memphis is leaving the AAC. There are still a few hurdles to jump through though. Memphis has to negotiate exit fees with the AAC, but I’m told that the PAC is willing to pay a “good portion” of those, which would

ACC is talking about revenue split changes that could bring peace. But it’s VERY early, these are starting points to negotiations, and while there’s a good bit of support for the big picture idea, they’re a long way from cohesion on details. espn.com/college-footba…

If there is an attempt to cut the G5/6 out of a slot in the CFP playoffs, it will become a highly charged political issue. Any of the P level conferences should really think twice about that.

Pac-12 expansion: The news that UNLV and Nevada would be tied together by the state's board of regents was news ... to the state's board of regents. "Nobody talks about them as a package." wp.me/p7ShJJ-KAe3

Good stuff here from JW … I suspect the primary objective by departing four MWC schools was not wanting to involve UNLV/Nevada and alert others. Also, probably figured they could get UNLV later if they wanted it.
