Last week, Tim Louis and I had the opportunity to visit Pickering Federal Lands with a team from Land Over Landings. It was great to visit the over 9,000 acres of productive farmland which has been earmarked for more than 50 years as the site of a potential future airport.

We have a limited and finite amount of farmland capable of growing crops and producing food, here in Ontario and across Canada. We need to protect the farmland we have, and the soil beneath our feet, both of which are needed to sustain us… now and in to the future!
