The Cardinal Elementary Halloween Parade was an absolute blast!! Thanks to the Swanson Admirals Jazz Band and Mr. Norris, and the Cardinal community for joining us.

.Swanson Admirals remains in lockdown due to a bomb threat made over the phone. The ACPD and Arlington County Fire Department are on the scene to determine the credibility of the threat. All students and staff are safe at this time.

UPDATE: A search of the property has concluded and no evidence of a crime was located at the school. The investigation into the circumstances of the telephone threat is ongoing.

UPDATE: Due to the threat at Swanson Admirals, students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. The dismissal will proceed as normal. The ACPD and ACFD have given the school an “all clear” following a search. No evidence of a crime was located at the school. The investigation continues.

Safety Notification - Swanson Admirals is currently in Secure-the-Building. Staff received an email that included a possible online threat. During this time, all doors are locked and no one can leave or enter the building due to police activity. More to come.
