How do you answer the question “is X expecting your call?”. I have always been stumped (“Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition … or calls from me” etc). Surely there are better ways of screening work related calls from cold calling?

Is the absence of any or any substantive case law on swathes of the Consumer Rights Act proof that our consumer law does not work very well? Or is it proof that the County Ct and the Small Claims Ct in particular have all the tools unfussily to do what they need to do? Discuss.
