80 years ago William Fraser jumped into Morvan Forest as OC of A Sqn, 1 SAS. A much misunderstood figure Fraser was the most successful and decorated of the original SAS officers earning 2 MCs and Croix de Guerre. He rose from corporal in 1940 to squadron command in 1944.
