Not amazing photo weather, but ideal hiking weather to bag A' Mharconaich and Geal Chàrn using the walkhighlands loop route. Amazing view down Loch Ericht with Ben Alder [unfortunately] with its head in the clouds.

Great to see all the woodland regeneration in Glen Tromie today - there’s even a Rowan growing out from the summit cairn on Croidh-la.

Last month we were joined by members of the OutdoorLads, an organisation whose aim is to get more of the gay, bi, and trans community into the outdoors. The group spent a day volunteering in our Tree Nursery & removing tree guards with Forestry and Land Scotland staff at Glenmore Forest Park🌲

Bidean nam Bian yesterday will go down as one of my best hill days ever, a wonderful walk with amazing weather, cloud free until the afternoon, a nice breeze to keep it from being too hot & such amazing clarity of 360° views. No midges.

Amongst the routes we updated yesterday was this idyllic hidden walk to the former showplace of MacGregor's Cave, via the shores of Dunalastair Water. A short outing that gives a real feeling of discovery.

Idyllic sunshine and perfect visibility on Schiehallion today. An ideal first Munro with a great path for much of the way & then a final rugged boulder field.
