#Ghana is making significant progress in the fight against antimicrobial resistance #AMR. With World Health Organization (WHO) support, Ghana's surveillance team has uploaded 2023 #AMR data to the Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (GLASS) for informed policy and action.
Every year, over 720,000 people die by suicide Today, we hosted a team from The University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention to explore a collaboration with the Ghana Poison Centre. This will strengthen pesticide regulations & reduce pesticide-related deaths to improve public health outcomes in Ghana
Africa accounts for 95% of all malaria-related deaths worldwide. This week, together with partners, we are supporting Ghana Health Service in conducting a training of trainers session for the rollout of the malaria vaccine across 43 prioritized districts in four regions in Ghana.
Today marks the closing ceremony of the #AVoHCSurge training. Together with Africa CDC & with funding from Development Canada, participants have gained valuable knowledge on health emergency preparedness & response, which will play a key role in strengthening Ghana's healthcare system.
