**Update on teacher shortages** Josh Bleiberg , Patricia Saenz-Armstrong , Chanh and I are updating our teachershortages.com website. We find there are at least 55,000 vacant teaching positions and 270,000 underqual in the US compared to 36,000 and 160,000 positions last year.
