Thank you, .Thomas Massie for speaking with #KidneyHealth advocates today about the importance of protecting living donors to improve access to transplant care and reduce Medicare costs. The 2,500 people in Kentucky living with a kidney transplant appreciate your support!
.Leader McConnell, #KidneyHealth advocates appreciate your time today to discuss the need to protect living donors. The Living Donor Protection Act will improve access to transplant care for the 700 Kentuckians waiting for a kidney transplant, removing barriers to donation.

Thank you Rep. Suzan DelBene and Larry Bucshon, MD for recognizing the 50th anniversary of this program and for your continued work towards improving #kidneycare.
.U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. and I passed a bill ensuring that kidney transplant recipients can afford medicine needed so their bodies don’t reject transplants. Starting Jan 1st, immunosuppressive drugs will be covered by Medicare for the rest of a patient’s life, not just a few years.
