The KRG elections in Iraq are a charade. From an Assyrian perspective, the only players are those who chronically mean well and have no leverage, and those whose egos have been massaged so thoroughly that they think that they hold keys that don't exist.

In 2018, the KRG released a confession of a prominent Kurdish islamist admitting affiliation to ISIS. Now in 2024, he is suddenly released before the KRG elections and embraced by head of Arbil security (KDP). There is no rule of law in the KRG - only the scheming of two clans.

A lucid account of the Yazidi genocide at the hands of ISIS and facilitated by the KDP, as well as the failure of Western states to respond effectively to it. Extremely relevant for Assyrians.

Why are churches, including Assyrian ones, and other religious institutions in the US used as actual physical venues for partisan politics? Moreover, isn't it illegal?

Man City will have to shoot someone between the eyes from point blank range to get a red card, but even then VAR will probably overturn it.

Stay in a meaningful way or leave - this middle ground stuff produces the worst outcomes: US simultaneously weakens it's influence throughout Iraq and transforms itself into a softer target with reduced capacity to respond to threats. What's the point of these fake reassurances?

2014: weeks into the latest Assyrian genocide by ISIS facilitated by the KDP, ACOE Met. Mar Meelis visited Arbil and thanked Barzani Peshmerga for defending Assyrians (even as they disarmed and abandoned them) 2024: ACOE/CCC/SCC/SOC churches gift KDP PM Masrour Barzani a shield.

The kind of reporting Assyrians and Yazidis were subjected to by reporters flying in for brief assignments - even during genocide. Often, the media's 'bias towards fairness' exponentially favours oppressive status quos seeking to cover up crimes and corruption, reinforce lies.

Not just science, but philosophy from Hippocrates, Aristotle and other literature. Many of these works were destroyed by Roman generals and early zealous Christians, only to be recovered through translations made by Assyrians into Assyrian and Arabic and *back* to Greek, Latin.
