Everyone knows me for my love of colourful socks. I bought the shrek ones from primark. I have a quote every time I put them on Shrek: get outta my swamp Donkey: I’m making waffles Puss in boots: no prolema boss Gingerbread man (which I’m wearing): NO not the GUMDROP BUTTONS!

I’m getting tired of self-advocacy, but as someone with a disability, I have to do this nearly every single day. Whether it’s reminding someone that something is not accessible, or not to do this, or to put so and so in place, it has to be done. But it gets tiring.

No-one should have their access needs questioned. BSL interpreters work for me in some situations but not in others. Just because I use BSL and understand *some* BSL doesn’t mean it’s going to be the best option/access for me in some situations.

Saying you "can't find an interpreter" or that "no one is available" is not the same thing as "we don't want to pay, and no one will do it for free" 🙄 Ticketed, paid for events with paid staff should not expect access provision to be free.

any Deaf tutors / tutors who accommodate Deaf students? someone needs to redo their GCSEs and would prefer a tutor that understands their needs!
