Reminder: All CCSD 89 schools will be closed on Monday, May 27, for the Memorial Day holiday. School will resume on Tuesday, May 28, on a regular schedule. The last day of the 2024-25 school year is a half day (morning attendance) on Friday, May 31.

Before teaching, I wanted to be a neuroscientist. I love being able to share this knowledge with my kids…lessons beyond the curriculum are sometimes the best! We learned anatomy & physiology of the central nervous system, looked at optical illusions, & conducted vision tests 🧠

At the Music Cafe fundraiser, a Glen Crest MS student won the chance to challenge the superintendent to a paper airplane competition. Congrats to Superintendent Doug Eccarius and Miss Maag on *almost* winning the paper airplane contest against Glen Crest students this morning! ✈️

At tonight's meeting, the Board of Education honored several student-athletes who participated in the Special Olympics track and field meet: Srisharan Burra, Quinn Ruden, John Scheer; as well as Special Olympics coach GlenCrest PE teacher Kelly Nordlund.

Enjoyed the evening with fellow CCSD 89 colleagues at the B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County Annual Meeting & Champions Dinner.

At tonight's Board meeting, the 7th-grade Glen Crest MS boys volleyball team was honored for earning the conference championship!
The Spartans, led by coach Caroline Stauber, finished the year with an 11-2 record to tie for regular-season title.
